Wartens was founded in Bangalore in 2013 as a PLC training provider. In 2015 our quality management system was certified to ISO 9001, and in 2016 we began delivering industrial automation projects, including robotics.

Wartens Ltd (company 15262249, England and Wales) is the UK parent and group headquarters of Wartens, based at Unit 8, Lyon Road, Milton Keynes, MK1 1EX. The group has worked in industrial automation since 2013, holds ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management, and delivers control systems, digital twins, immersive training and energy controls, with engineering done in its India centre.
Wartens is an industrial automation group that designs and delivers control systems, digital twins, immersive training and energy systems for clients in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, India and the UAE. The group was founded in Bangalore in 2013 and has delivered industrial automation projects since 2016, more than 100 of them worldwide.
Our group headquarters is in Milton Keynes. We have offices in Dover (Delaware), Abu Dhabi, Bangalore and Iritty, and an edWartens training centre in Oberhaching near Munich. Engineering for every market is delivered from our India centre. Quality management across the group is certified to ISO 9001:2015.

The Wartens story in four phases
From a PLC training room in Bangalore to an automation and AI group working across five countries.
2019–2021
Going international
In 2019 we delivered our first projects in Dubai and Oman. In 2020 we launched traininginPLC.com to take our courses online, and in 2021 we started operations in the United Kingdom.
2023–2024
Building the group
Our recruitment division became Oscabe in 2023 and began recruiting in the US market in 2024, the year Wartens received the ATAL Award.
2025–2026
Automation and AI
In 2025 our training division became edWartens, Wartens was named UK Engineering Startup of the Year (Midlands and national winner), and with Oforo AI we became a complete automation and AI provider. In 2026 we launched LADX, our AI workbench for automation engineers, and edWartens won Best Training Provider at the Karnataka Awards.

From one training room to a global ecosystem
2013
Founded in Bangalore
Wartens began in Bangalore as a PLC training provider, teaching engineers and technicians to program and troubleshoot industrial control systems.
2015
ISO certified
Our quality management system was certified to ISO 9001, setting the standard for how we run training and, later, engineering work.
2016
Into industrial projects
We began delivering industrial automation projects, including robotics, and moved from teaching control systems to building them for clients.
2019
Projects in Dubai and Oman
Our first projects in the Gulf, in Dubai and Oman, took Wartens engineering beyond India.
2020
traininginPLC.com
We launched traininginPLC.com, an online platform that brought our PLC courses to engineers wherever they work.
2021
Operations in the United Kingdom
We started operations in the United Kingdom, today home to the group headquarters in Milton Keynes.
2023
Recruitment becomes Oscabe
Our recruitment division was rebranded as Oscabe, focused on connecting employers with automation and engineering talent.
2024
ATAL Award
Wartens was honoured with the ATAL Award.
2025
Training becomes edWartens
Our training division was rebranded as edWartens, bringing our classroom and online courses under one name.

UK Engineering Startup of the Year
Wartens was named UK Engineering Startup of the Year, first as the Midlands winner and then as the national winner.
