Wartens writes PLC, HMI and safety software for German machine builders in Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT and CODESYS to IEC 61131-3, delivered as a fixed-scope, fixed-price work package or a monthly engineering retainer. S7-300/400 systems are migrated to S7-1500 with HMI migration and test documentation; your team carries out the cutover with remote support.
Wartens was founded in Bangalore in 2013 and has delivered industrial automation projects since 2016, more than 100 of them worldwide. We design and program PLC and SCADA systems, modernise legacy controls and deliver turnkey projects.
Engineering is done in our India centre. You review and test the result remotely, and commissioning is carried out by your team or a local partner with our engineers joining remotely.

Questions we're asked
It depends on scope: the number of axes and sequences, safety functions, HMI and documentation. Wartens first reviews your code, schematics or specification, then sends a written scope with a delivery date and a fixed price. Alternatively, you can book a monthly engineering retainer and use the hours across projects. We do not quote blanket prices without seeing the documents.
Usually not from scratch. STEP 7 projects can be migrated to TIA Portal with Siemens tools, after which hardware configuration, communication, the safety program and HMI need checking and adapting. Wartens migrates the code to S7-1500, migrates the HMI and documents the tests before your team performs the cutover on site, with our engineers supporting remotely.
