Automation Engineering
Control systems engineered, delivered and supported
In short
Wartens USA programs Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and Siemens TIA Portal PLCs, HMIs and SCADA, including Ignition, for machine builders and plants adding lines. It also programs robot and cobot cells with PLC-robot interlocking and migrates aging PLC and SCADA platforms with minimal downtime. Software is delivered remotely as a fixed-scope work package and accepted remotely before commissioning by the client's team or a local partner.
Wartens was founded in Bangalore in 2013 and has delivered industrial automation projects since 2016, more than 100 of them worldwide. We design and program PLC and SCADA systems, integrate robot cells, modernize legacy controls and deliver turnkey projects.
Engineering is done in our India center. You review and test the result remotely, and commissioning is carried out by your team or a local partner with our engineers joining remotely, or on site in India.

What we offer
What we engineer
PLC and controls engineering
PLC, HMI and safety software in Siemens TIA Portal, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, Beckhoff TwinCAT and CODESYS, written to IEC 61131-3.
SCADA and data capture
SCADA and HMI development, including Ignition, with data capture from machines, lines and remote sites.
Legacy modernization
Migration of ageing PLC and SCADA platforms, such as Siemens S7-300/400 to S7-1500, with test documentation and minimal downtime.
Robot cell programming
Robot and cobot cell programming, offline simulation and PLC-robot interlocking.
Predictive maintenance and IIoT
Sensors, connectivity and analytics that flag problems before they stop production.
Turnkey projects
Design through commissioning and support. Delivered on site in India; elsewhere, commissioning by your team or a local partner with our engineers joining remotely.
How we deliver
One Wartens contact in your country and engineering in our India center. You can buy a fixed-price work package, a monthly engineering capacity retainer or, in India, a turnkey project.

Questions we're asked
A control system integrator designs, programs and commissions the automation that runs machines and plants: PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, robots and networks. Wartens USA offers this to U.S. manufacturers on Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and Siemens TIA Portal, delivering the software remotely from our India engineering center.
For U.S. clients we mainly program Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix in Studio 5000 and Siemens S7 controllers in TIA Portal, plus HMI and SCADA work including Ignition. Our engineers also work on Beckhoff TwinCAT, CODESYS, Mitsubishi and other platforms when a machine or plant requires them.
We convert and restructure the existing code, for example from PLC-5 or SLC 500 to a current Logix controller or from older Siemens platforms to TIA Portal. The new program is reviewed and accepted remotely before cutover, so the shutdown window is used for hardware changeover and checkout.
