Questions, answered

What we do, where we work, how projects run and how we price them.

In short

Answers for U.S. buyers on how Wartens works: engineering is done at the India center, the client's team or a local partner commissions on site with Wartens engineers joining remotely, and work is priced as a fixed-scope package or a monthly capacity retainer. Wartens programs Studio 5000, TIA Portal and Ignition and is ISO 9001:2015 certified.

Wartens in the U.S.

Our U.S. company is at 1121 Forrest Ave, Dover, Delaware 19904. Engineering is delivered from our India center.

Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and Siemens TIA Portal for PLCs, plus HMI and SCADA including Ignition.

Your team or a local partner, with our engineers joining remotely. Because the software has already been reviewed and accepted remotely, site time goes to commissioning rather than debugging.

Common questions

Yes. Most PLC, HMI and SCADA software can be written and tested off site if the integrator has your drawings and I/O lists. Wartens builds the code and lets your team review and accept it remotely. On-site commissioning is then done by your team or a local partner, with our engineers joining remotely.

Wartens USA quotes either a fixed-price work package, such as one machine's PLC software or a migration with a defined deliverable and date, or an engineering capacity retainer, which is a fixed monthly block of engineering time used across your projects. Every engagement starts with a short discovery call and a written scope, schedule and price.

Your own team or a local partner commissions on site, with Wartens engineers joining remotely. Because the software has already been reviewed and accepted remotely, site time goes to commissioning rather than debugging. We do not run turnkey on-site installations in the U.S.

About Wartens

Wartens is an industrial automation group. We design and deliver control systems, digital twins, immersive training and energy systems, through Wartens and specialist brands including iUNI, edWartens and Wartens Energy.

We serve clients in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, India and the UAE, with offices in Milton Keynes, Dover (Delaware), Abu Dhabi, Bangalore and Iritty, and a training center in Oberhaching near Munich.

Every market gets engineering from the same India center. You deal with one Wartens contact in your country.

Engineering & digital twins

Siemens TIA Portal and S7-1500, Allen-Bradley Studio 5000, Beckhoff TwinCAT and CODESYS among others. Our engineers are trained on 20 PLC brands, including Mitsubishi, Delta, ABB and Schneider Electric.

Testing your PLC program against a virtual model of the machine or line before site work, so logic, interlocks and sequences are debugged before they reach physical equipment.

A typical digital twin project takes 12 to 24 weeks, depending on scope and the data available.

Working with us

As a fixed-price work package, a monthly engineering capacity retainer, a turnkey project (in India), a subscription, or a training program. Every engagement starts with a written scope, schedule and price.

Discovery, fixed scope and quote, engineering, remote acceptance, site support, then handover and support.

Yes. Quality management across the group is certified to ISO 9001:2015.

LADX questions

LADX is the Wartens group's AI workbench for automation engineers. It brings a ladder editor and simulator, compile-checked AI, conversion between PLC platforms, an HMI/SCADA builder, panel CAD, project documents, a planner and a manuals assistant onto one project. It is vendor-neutral and can run offline.

The browser ladder editor and simulator, the converter, the HMI/SCADA builder, the CAD tool, the 17 document templates and the forum are free with no account and no trial period. An account adds a central place to keep projects. The AI uses the provider key you connect, and free OpenRouter models work.

It can if something checks it first. LADX compiles every generated answer with the matiec IEC 61131-3 compiler and checks it with iec-checker and a PLCopen schema pass. Failures go back to the model with the compiler's errors, so what you see has already passed.

LADX writes programs out as Siemens SCL, Rockwell neutral text, IEC 61131-3 Structured Text and PLCopen XML. You then import, compile and download in the vendor tool. Reading vendor projects back into LADX is still being built.

No. Programs are encrypted at rest, scoped to your project, never used for training and deletable in one action. The desktop build, LADX Studio, runs a local model and makes no outbound AI call.
