Privacy Policy

This is an English translation of our Arabic privacy policy; the Arabic text prevails. It explains how we collect, use and protect personal data when you visit wartens.com/ae/en or contact us, in line with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

2. What we collect and why

  • Technical data when you visit: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser, operating system and referring page, to run and secure the site. Server logs are deleted automatically after 14 days unless needed to investigate a specific security incident.
  • Country detection: to show the right country site, our server looks up the country associated with your IP address using a database held on our own server. The IP address is not sent to anyone else for this, and the result is not stored.
  • Enquiries: name, email, phone, company and your message, to reply, prepare quotes and provide our services.
  • Job applications: your CV and the information you send, to assess your application.

We process your data with your consent, where processing is needed to enter into or perform a contract at your request, or to meet a legal obligation. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not sell personal data.

Embedded videos

Some articles include YouTube videos. They load only after you allow external media in the cookie banner or click Play video. Google then receives your IP address and may set cookies; our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time under Cookie settings. See Google's privacy policy.

3. Cookies

We use two essential cookies: one remembers your country or language choice (12 months) and one records your cookie choice (6 months). See our Cookie Policy.

4. Sharing

  • Hosting and email providers who process data for us under written contracts;
  • Wartens group companies in the UK, Germany, the US and India where your enquiry concerns their services;
  • Government authorities where required by law.

5. Transfers outside the UAE

Some data may be transferred to countries outside the UAE where our service providers or group companies are located, only in line with the conditions set by law, including an adequate level of protection or contractual safeguards.

6. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law, and then delete it.

7. Your rights

You may request information about and a copy of your data, and ask us to correct, erase, restrict or transfer it, object to its processing, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email info@wartens.com. You may also complain to the UAE Data Office.

8. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access or use.
